Q. Do BARLS use Reference Numbers and if so where can
I get a List?
A. Reference Numbers are NOT used or required for BARLS Awards but for Amateurs/SWLs working towards other Lighthouse awards the Admiralty
Reference Number can be used. These are the ONLY Official Numbers.
WAB has also adopted this policy & they have a list on their Website.
The ARLHS Numbers are NOT used as they are a fabricated Reference System, and NOT recognised by any Marine Organisation anywhere in the
World.

Q. How does the Membership help support BARLS if it is FREE?
A. By supplying photographs whenever possible of British Lighthouses

These are returned if so requested otherwise they are donated to BARLS
for their archives to promote Amateur Radio and/or Pharology.
